Buddhist monk Ashin Wirathu suddenly the world spotlight. The tragedy of the massacre and expulsion of Rohingya much associated with Ashin. His face was calm, simple clothes like monks in general was much in contrast to what he did. Western media no less from Time Magazine, New York Times, to the Washington Post refers to him as a Muslim hater. Ashin Wirathu referred to as a driver of Buddhists in Myanmar Rohingya attack.

Now the condition of Rohingya Muslims is indeed alarming. They were driven from their homes in Myanmar. The local government was not even able to do much of the violence. They chose to go into refugees.
There's 1,000 Rohingya Muslims who are currently stranded in Aceh and North Sumatra. They did not want to return to Myanmar in the face of slaughter.
