Ashin Wirathu, Haters Buddhist monk So Rohingya World Highlights

Buddhist monk Ashin Wirathu suddenly the world spotlight. The tragedy of the massacre and expulsion of Rohingya much associated with Ashin. His face was calm, simple clothes like monks in general was much in contrast to what he did. Western media no less from Time Magazine, New York Times, to the Washington Post refers to him as a Muslim hater. Ashin Wirathu referred to as a driver of Buddhists in Myanmar Rohingya attack.

"Now is not the time to be silent," Ashin said as quoted by Time, Wednesday (05/20/2015). What the 46-year-old monk was referring to violence perpetrated on Rohingya.

Ashin figure is not only attracting Time alone, The Washington Post also highlight lunge Ashin known as a leader in the movement of Rohingya massacre.

"You can be full of love and kindness, but you will not be able to sleep quietly next to a dog mad," said Ashin like to quote the Washington Post. Ashin mad dog is no other reference to the Rohingya.

Ashin was openly in front of 'jamaah'nya in a lecture at a temple called the Rohingya as an enemy. New York Times writes clearly how hatred Ashin on the Rohingya.

"I am proud to be called as a hardline Buddhists," said Ashin as quoted on the New York Times.

Now the condition of Rohingya Muslims is indeed alarming. They were driven from their homes in Myanmar. The local government was not even able to do much of the violence. They chose to go into refugees.

There's 1,000 Rohingya Muslims who are currently stranded in Aceh and North Sumatra. They did not want to return to Myanmar in the face of slaughter.
